Privacy Policy

When you fill out a form on this site, we collect what you enter. Depending on the form, that can include:

• Your name, work email address and company
• Your website address
• Your mobile phone number, if you choose to provide it
• The services you are interested in and any message you write
• Whether you agreed to receive text messages

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site. It uses cookies and similar technology to record things like the pages you visit, how you arrived, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. We use this in aggregate to improve the site. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running.

• To communicate with you about our services by email, phone or, if you opted in, text message
• To understand and improve how the site performs
• To protect the site and comply with the law

If you check the SMS consent box on one of our forms and provide a mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from Brown Bear about your inquiry, your proposal, scheduling and our services. Consent is not a condition of submitting a form or buying anything from us.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also email bryan@brownbear.digital.

We do not share or sell mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are excluded from any sharing described in this policy.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that run parts of the site for us: Formspree (form processing), Google (Analytics), Vercel (hosting) and our email and messaging providers. They may use your information only to provide those services.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights and users
• A successor, if Brown Bear is ever merged or sold, under the same protections

We keep inquiry and client communications for as long as we need them to work with you and meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept under the retention settings of our Analytics account.

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. California residents have these rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we honor them for everyone. We will not treat you differently for using them.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information you send us, including encrypted connections to this site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive personal or health information through our forms.

This site is meant for businesses. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
